State Laws Vary. UELG lawyers are licensed to practice law only in California. While we affiliate with lawyers across the United States, the laws of each state differ, and the information on the Site may apply only to specific states. Therefore, it is essential to consult an attorney licensed in your state for accurate legal advice. Advertising Disclosures. Certain materials on the Site may constitute lawyer advertising. The decision to choose an attorney should not be based solely on an advertisement. Before choosing an attorney, consider the matter carefully and seek written information about their qualifications and experience. UELG does not claim its lawyers are certified specialists or experts in any field of law. Each case is unique and must be evaluated based on its merits. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Attorney fees may be negotiable, and costs and fees are charged only upon monetary recovery. UELG may work with other law firms as co-counsel or referral counsel. We do not provide any guarantees, warranties, or predictions regarding the outcome of your case. Past successful settlements, court rulings, or featured video testimonials should not be construed as a guarantee of a similar outcome. Settlement amounts listed may reflect the total settlement in consolidated or coordinated class action proceedings, of which UELG’s was one of the participating cases, and are since inception of the firm to present. Pictures/videos on this website may contain actor portrayals and dramatizations.

Submissions. By using the Site, you acknowledge that any information, content, or material you transmit through it (“Submissions”) is considered non-confidential and non-proprietary. You grant UELG an unrestricted, irrevocable, perpetual, transferable, sub-licensable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, copy, reproduce, display, publish, publicly perform, transmit, and distribute any Submission without providing compensation or accounting to you or anyone else. You also confirm that you have the right to submit the Submissions and grant the described licenses and that the Submissions do not infringe upon any third party’s rights, including intellectual property and privacy rights. Additionally, the Submissions must comply with the Terms of Use and all applicable laws and regulations. UELG disclaims any responsibility and liability for any Submissions.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution (Arbitration).

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY – IT MAY SIGNIFICANTLY AFFECT YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO FILE A LAWSUIT IN COURT AND TO HAVE A JURY HEAR YOUR CLAIMS.  IT CONTAINS PROCEDURES FOR MANDATORY BINDING ARBITRATION AND A CLASS ACTION WAIVER.

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, USA.  Any claims arising from the use of the Site must be resolved through binding arbitration conducted under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association in Los Angeles, California, except to the extent that you have in any manner violated or threatened to violate UELG’s intellectual property rights (for example, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or patent rights). Under such circumstances, UELG may bring a lawsuit solely for injunctive relief to stop unauthorized use or abuse of the Site or intellectual property infringement (for example, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or patent rights) without first engaging in arbitration or the informal dispute-resolution process described herein.

Both parties agree that the arbitration’s results and awards will be final and binding and can be enforced through legal proceedings. Arbitration is the exclusive method for resolving disputes, and you waive the right to resolve such claims through court proceedings or other means. You acknowledge that certain rights, such as the right to bring an action in court, the right to a jury trial, broad discovery, and appeal, are waived by agreeing to arbitration. These Terms shall not require arbitration of the following types of disputes: (1) small claims actions brought on an individual basis that are within the scope of such small claims court’s jurisdiction; or (2) a representative action brought on behalf of others under PAGA or other private attorneys general acts, to the extent the representative PAGA Waiver of such action is deemed unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction under applicable law not preempted by the FAA.

You can decline this arbitration by emailing UELG at info@uelglaw.com and providing the requested information as follows: (1) Your Name; (2) the URL of the Terms and Agreement to Arbitrate Disputes; (3) Your Address; (4) Your Phone Number; (5) and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of this arbitration provision in the Terms. The Opt-Out Notice must be emailed no later than 30 days after the date you first accept the Terms by using the Service.

You may only resolve disputes with us on an individual basis, and may not bring a claim as a plaintiff or a class member in a class, consolidated, or representative action. Class arbitrations, class actions, private attorney general actions, and consolidation with other arbitrations are not allowed.

International Use.  The Site is intended for use within the United States of America and is controlled and operated from the United States. UELG makes no representations regarding use of the Site outside the United States.

Availability. UELG may suspend or terminate the availability of the Site, in whole or in part, to any individual user or all users, for any reason, in UELG’s sole discretion, and without advance notice or liability. Upon suspension or termination of your access to the Site, or upon notice from UELG, all rights granted to you under these Terms of Use will cease immediately, and you agree that you will immediately discontinue use of the Site.

Reservation of Rights. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by UELG and its licensors and other third parties. No right or license may be construed, under any legal theory, by implication, estoppel, industry customer, or otherwise. Any unauthorized use of the Site for any purpose is prohibited.

Other Terms.  If any provision of the Terms of Use or Privacy Policy is found or deemed to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect and will be enforced to the fullest extent possible. UELG’s failure to act regarding a breach does not waive its right to act in response to subsequent or similar breaches. Any consent or waiver by UELG must be in writing and executed by an officer or agent of UELG to be effective. These Terms of Use, along with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between UELG and users (including you) regarding the Site, and supersede any and all previous written or oral agreements, except for those specifically governing the attorney-client relationship between UELG and UELG Clients.  UELG reserves the right to block and/or terminate access to the Site for unacceptable use or violation of these Terms of Use.
