The laws and statutes adopted by the State of California generally apply to all other cities and counties in California, including employment law in Los Angeles, and provide a wide range of rules and safeguards for the workplace. The goal of California labor laws and rules and employment law in Los Angeles are to make sure that workers are treated fairly and to provide and protect workplace rights. However, some cities in California, including Los Angeles, may provide stronger protections for employees.
